An international oil and gas corporation with its headquarters in Rome is Eni S.p.A. It is one of the seven “Supermajor” oil firms in the world and has activities in 66 nations. As of the end of December 2018, its market capitalisation was US$55.61 billion. 30.303% of the company’s golden shares are owned by the Italian government, with 3.934% held by the state treasury and 26.369% by the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. A part of the Euro Stoxx 50 stock market index is the firm.

Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi, the abbreviation for the word “ENI,” was first used (National Hydrocarbons Authority). However, it worked in a variety of industries during the years after its founding, including contracts, nuclear power, energy, mining, chemicals, and plastics, distribution machinery, refining/extraction machinery, and even the textile business.
